The sandblaster's control of the pressure and direction of the abrasive material is vital for preventing surface damage and injury to coworkers.
The sandblaster is responsible for shoveling or pouring sand, grit, or other abrasive material into the machine, and monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopper.
We work Monday - Thursday from 5:
30 am - 4:
00 pm, with mandated Friday's as needed from 5:
30 am - 2:
00 pm.
Starting pay rate for this role is $14/hour.
Pay rate is negotiable based on candidate's experience and skill level.
Read work orders, drawings, and diagrams as necessary.
Prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing by sandblasting them to remove dirt, rust, old paint, or other contaminants, per work order.
Operate sandblasting equipment and tools to effectively clean and prepare surfaces.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while performing sandblasting tasks.
Inspect surfaces after sandblasting to ensure they are properly cleaned and ready for primer and paint.
Records work into Global Shop software for accurate costing and inventory management.
Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment to ensure its proper maintenance and functioning.
Return recyclable parts to respective work areas for re-use on a regular (as needed) basis.
Works efficiently and to the quality standards required.
Attends meetings as scheduled.
Performs any other assigned duties as needed.
Safety & Environmental Lifting of equipment and parts up to 50 lbs.
Standing, sitting, leaning, and squatting up to several hours as required by the work needed and break/lunch schedule.
Pushing of drums, barrels, or parts up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to see up close and far away, perceive color and depth and have the ability to focus.
Must have the stamina and endurance to stand and walk on uneven surface for long periods of time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
